11 months of trying. Smileys and ovulation.

I am Curious. After the solid O, I get a solid smiley that goes away, and then the next day, a solid smiley that lasts for two days. My question is, on which of these days am I potentially ovulating. Based on the testing and the smiley, most importantly, am i ovulating day two of smiles or the following day?

It sounds like you're using Clearblue Advanced Digital Ovulation Tests, Carla. Once Peak Fertility (solid smiley) has been detected, ovulation is expected to occur at anytime within the next 36 hours. So once you see the solid smiley, stop testing and have intercourse within the next 48 hours to maximize your chances of conceiving. Hope this helps!

I fuess, more or less, I am wondering if, after the solid smiley stays, I am ovulating on the second day of that smile, or the day after. ? Yes, indeed, that is the kit I am using.

Thanks for writing back, Carla. The LH surge occurs approximately 24-36 hours before ovulation. Once the test detects your surge, ovulation should occur at any time within the next 36 hours. So it could happen either on the first or the second day of Peak Fertility.
