Advanced Clear Blue Ovulation tests

From day one of my period finishing I’ve been using the advanced clear blue ovulation test(A ten pack and a digital wand). Day one was an expected empty circle, day 2 was a flashing smiley as was day 3,4,5 and 6. So 5 flashing faces in total.
Somehow I missed placed the testing strips so I needed to buy some more, my store only had another ten pack with a wand so although expensive I felt I was so close to a static smiley I deemed it worth it. This morning I’ve taken out the new digital wand and my first digital wand put two tests in the wands and put them both into the same urine sample. The new one had an empty circle and my heart dropped but the other test was flashing away a smiley face as it has done for the many days before. I’m confused and need some clarity. The first test is a week old at the max and I did not use all it’s original wands, is it broken? The new one was used just today, is it possible that new ones will always read at low fertility on the first day?
