Blank Display Screen????

Hello, I purchased a Clear Blue Ovulation test today came home used the test as instructed and nothing has appeared on the little screen. nothing appeared for several minutes after inserting the first test strip so i dipped it into the urine for 15 sec replaced the cap and have been waiting for over 5 min and still nothing on the display screen. I have tried another test strip and still nothing with this one as well. could the testing holder itself be faulty? Please help. Just spent $40.00 on this and its not working.
