Blinking Smiley for 9 days...wasted money and want a refund.
I am incredibly disappointed and frustrated with the advanced ovulation kit. My cycles run about 35-40 days and I started testing on day 14 (low fertility). I then have now gotten NINE blinking smiley faces. This is very angering since the box calls those "high fertility" days and to "make love" on all smile face days. I called in to complain (I wanted a refund or them to send me the original OPK since I didn't have issues with those) and she said "the high fertility days do no mean you are having high fertility, it means your estrogen level is rising" WHAT? I read the box and I get that it tracks estrogen, but why call it high fertility if it's not? This is very misleading and disappointing. We have been trying to get pregnant for a while and this just wasted our time and our money. :(

I'm sorry to hear you weren't pleased with Clearblue Advanced Digital Ovulation Tests. This test works differently than other ovulation tests. Not only does it detect the rise in LH, it also monitors the level of estrogen which increases in the days before the LH surge. Because your partner's sperm can live in your body for up to 5 days, you can actually become pregnant by having intercourse in the days leading up to ovulation.
When testing, it's normal for some women to see more than 2 high fertility days in all or some of their cycles. The number of high fertility days displayed is personal to you and reflects your unique hormone changes. There are also some factors that can affect your number of high fertility days, such as testing twice per day, testing at another time of day other than with your first urine of the day, and the use of fertility treatments such as clomiphene citrate.
