Book symbol, not working

I bought the Clearblue Digital Ovulation Test with 20 sticks. I keep getting a book symbol on the screen. I tried 3 sticks already and it's the same thing every time. I am following the directions. Is my product defective? I am anxious because I know I am due to ovulate soon and need to start testing. Can you please help?
