can clear blue give a false positive test

i took a test the day i was supost to sart my period it said i was pregnant and  to day i got a cheaper band test because im having some cramps and took the test and it was negitive so my question is can i get a false positive on a clear blue digital test?

We understand your concern, Lantia. There are some factors which can affect your result. If you've recently been pregnant, even if not carried to full term, you may get a false 'Pregnant' result. Ectopic pregnancies, ovarian cysts, and the use of fertility drugs containing hCG can cause misleading results. Women who are in or are approaching menopause may also receive a false positive result.
