Can I start Clearblue Advanced Digital Ovulation Test in the beginning of my cycle?

I bought the Clearblue Advanced Digital Ovulation Test and am in the middle of my cycle (I think I will be ovulating soon). Can I start it now of do I have to wait until the next cycle to get an accurate estrogen reading?

I'm glad you decided to use our advanced digital ovulation tests, Audra!  It's important to begin testing on the correct day of your cycle, according to the chart in the leaflet.  If you start testing too late, you may "miss" your peak.  What is your usual cycle length?

Its usually 35 days and I'm on day 14. How does it work? Does it remember your levels from previous days and use that to detect the surge, or can it just tell that levels are elevated if I happened to start on a peak day?

Hi Audra, based on a 35 day cycle, you should start testing on day 15.  Be sure to test once per day using your first urine after your longest sleep (in most cases, this is your first morning urine).

When the necessary changes in estrogen are detected, high fertility will be displayed as a flashing smiley.  Your holder will continue to display high fertility for subsequent tests until the necessary changes in LH are detected, which is peak fertility (a solid smiley).  Please keep in mind that the number of high fertility days displayed is personal to you and may be more or less than 2.

The solid smiley will remain on the display for 48 hours as a reminder that this is your most fertile time.  Have intercourse at any time during these 48 hours in order to maximize your chance of conceiving.  It's not necessary to test again once peak fertility has been identified, and it's not possible to perform another test while a result remains on the screen.

Hope this helps and sending lots of baby dust your way!
