Clearblue Advance OPK dye run

I’ve been using the advanced digital opk along with testing strips. All have been negative until my test this morning. I went from negative to a peak solid smiley. All my regular strips are still showing negative. When I look at the digital test strip it is showing a dye run. Could the dye run cause a false peak positive?
