Clearblue Advanced Ovulation test - not working?

Hello, I just purchased and tried the Clearblue Advanced Ovulation test and it doesn't seem to be processing my test. I tried two strips this morning, and only get the book symbol. What am I doing wrong? This is expensive and I want it to work, and don't want to miss my peak!

Me too. I keep following the directions and it keeps coming up as the book symbol. I did two this morning and this isn’t the first time this happened. I’m afraid I’m missing days because I’m not getting any readouts even though I’m following the directions properly. So frustrating.

I started using the ovulation tests on the 2nd day of my fertile week. My cycles are like clock work.  I have been using these for awhile, and I always get a solid smiley by the 2nd day. I took one yesterday at 10am, and it was a blank circle. I took one last night at 6pm, and it was blank, but the line was super dark, almost as dark as the control line. I took one at 10am this morning and again it was blank, and even darker than last nights test. This can't be right. These tests are very expensive, I need them to work. I use them every month, and have never had a problem with them. What could be wrong?

I never get a flashing face or solid one just an empty circle but testing on other opks at the same time show positive results.

I’m having the same issue. It hasn’t read any results. I’ve had to go through 4 test sticks today because I keep getting the test and book icons notating that an error happened. I can’t miss my window....for $50 the reader should work! I don’t want to miss my window :(

We're sorry this happened Jenn. This error symbol indicates that the test was not done according to the instructions and so was unable to read the result.  The usual reasons are too much or not enough urine, inverting the test after sampling, sampling on the test stick before it is inserted into the Holder or ejecting the test stick too soon.  Some users find that testing a collected sample of urine rather than testing directly in the stream is an easier way to sample correctly.  We have a how to use video here that you may also find helpful: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h__lm_I2ts4.  For further assistance, please call us at 1-800-321-3279.  Please have your test and packaging handy. I bought my ovulation kit a few days ago. I am supposed to test for the first time today. When I put the test strip in, the only icon I get is a book. It says I need a new holder?! I just bought it and it hasn’t been used.

That is exactly what happened with me. First strip worked as far as getting the ready symbol and then circle. Then I used another one the next day and the screen in blank no ready symbol. Nothing. Kept trying different strips in the box but none of them are working

I got this advanced digital kit last week and was super excited to test. But it's a disappointment. I don't know if it's the holder issue or the sticks. I don't want to waste the sticks too. Just get blank on screen nothing else. Wasted few sticks trying to be hopeful that it would work. Very sad!

Hi I jst wondering wether clear stop counting at certain period l check myself on 6th of December 2018 and it shows l was 3+. I had reffeer to hospital until no l haven't had from them l decide to buy other clear blue to check again 24 /01/2019 and still say 3+ can tell me what it mean? Thanks a bit confused

The Clearblue Advanced Pregnancy Test with Weeks Estimator measures the concentration of hCG in urine to estimate the number of weeks since ovulation by showing 1-2, 2-3 or 3+. '3+' is the maximum number of weeks the test can show, and it mean that more than 3 weeks have passed since conception. Remember, always consult a doctor as you have had 'Pregnant' results to confirm, date and monitor your pregnancy.  We wish you the best!

My testing stick is showing that I’m ovulating way too much for one cycle is there something wrong with my testing stick or is this Hyperovulation I’m very confused and I’m not sure on how to read the test I do have an irregular cycle

I brought these tests and all i ever get is the book symbol with every single test ive used. Ive tried to google to read the test without the digital bit but clear blue have nothing on there web site. After my beautiful baby passed 3 years ago i felt ready to try again with the help of these tests and all it has caused is stress. Which wont help in the process of trying to conceive . Very disappointing with clear blue!

I am having the same issues. I just bought a second kit (@ $65 a piece) because I was getting symbols that made me think the applicator was not working. I open the new applicator and I get the error again. The first week I used the test, I was fine. I received the correct symbols. After that, an error on every stick. Why pay this much money for a test kit that was supposed to be easier to read and use? The responses from clear blue are all basically the same cut and paste response too. I am second guessing using this brand. The cheaper brands can't be any worse. Why are we all spending this much money buying more and more kits for the issues to not get fixed. Very disappointing.
