I tested Friday-Monday (cycle days 9-12) and only got circles, and on tuesday (cycle day 13) i got a solid happy face.
I never got flashing faces. is this normal?
Does that mean i ovulate within 12-24hrs, or did i already ovualte?

Once Peak Fertiltiy is seen Ovulation is typically within 24-36 hours.
Going from low fertility to peak fertility can be for a few reasons:
If the hormone changes naturally occur close together
If the first test has been performed later on in the cycle, when the estrogen levels are already higher
If first morning urine is not consistently used
