Day 8 vs Day 9

My previous 2 cycles were 26 days. My last cycle was 29 days. Should I start testing on day 9 (like it says to do for 29 day cycles) or should I have started on day 8, which would have been average between day 7 and day 9? Also, I just now have missed doing the test on day 8 with the morning urine -- is it better to wait for morning urine tomorrow on day 9 or do it later today on day 8 but with non-first morning urine?
