didnt take stick out in time

i am using the fertility monitor http://www.clearblueeasy.com/clearblu...
I didnt get to take the test stick out before the monitor turned itself off. I the turned the monitor back on, removed the stick and it showed the same status as yesturday.
The instruction booklet said not to turn the monitor back on if this happens. Ooops!
Does this mean that this result was not the true result and that it was just showing the result from yesturday??

Hi Katie, check to make sure that the test stick has been inserted correctly, with the cut corner pointing downwards. If the cut corner is facing up in the test stick slot, the monitor won't be able to register that the test stick has been inserted, and it will turn itself off. Hope this helps!

No this didn't help ! The test stick was inserted correctly. The instruction booklet says that if the test stick is not removed after a certain time then the monitor will automatically turn itself off. It says that if this happens to take the stick out before turning the monitor back on to get that days result. I turned the monitor back on first & then removed the stick. So this was not what the I instruction book said to do. So did I still get a true result even though I did the wrong procedure ?

Thanks for clarifying your question, Katie. After the monitor turns itself off, it doesn't matter in which order you handle the monitor when you go back to it. Removing the test stick then turning it back on will show you your result, and so will turning it back on and then removing the stick. In other words, even though you turned the monitor back on and then removed the test stick, this won't affect your result.
