digital ovulation test

Hello, I have been using the Clearblue Digital Advance Ovulation test for two months now. I am 35yrs old and have an extremely regular cycle (27 days, 4/5 days of bleeding, no spotting). Never used chemical contraceptives, only natural stuff (like comdoms). Also never been pregnant before (and never tried to before). 

My problem is I observe expected trends of basal temperature shift during my period, but when using the Digital Ovulation Test (starting on day 7, as instructed) I only see one or two days of O (negative results) and then a long sequence of blinking smileys. I got 8 in a row last month (after which I finished my test kits) and I am at the 5th one this month. 

I also saw online a very high number of posts on blogs and app-forums by women who suffer from the same exact problem, and who find the test so confusing that they switch back to the simpler Digital test or even to a different brand. Can you explain better why these things happen? Also, can you give us information about the age distribution of the women used in the clinical test whose results are shown on your website (and on the instruction leaflet)?

Occasionally some women may have an LH surge that is too low for the test to detect, or they may not ovulate during a cycle and therefore won't see Peak Fertility - this will also esult in seing an excessive number of High Fertility days. This isn't unusual and may happen in approximately 8% of cycles. If you don't see Peak Fertility over a number of cycles, we recommend discussing this with your doctor.

Hi I am in the same boat. My cycle is 33/34 days and on days 15-18 I had 4 days of high and got my peak on day 19. We had sex on the days 15,16,18 and the first peak day (day 19) but we didn’t yesterday (day 20) the second peak day. I tested again this morning because the solid smiley went away and it was a circle meaning low. Did I lose out because we didn’t DTD on the second peak day?

Also I’ve been tracking my temperature and on the high days it was 97.3-94.4 and the first peak day (cycle day 19) was 97.4. On the second peak day (day 20) it was 97.75 and today (day 21) it was 97.72. Not sure if that’s enough to consider it a ride in temperature?

I’m curious because I test with clearblue advance first thing in the morning and Monday it was high and I didn’t test again until Tuesday morning when I got my peak... is it possible that I had my LH surge in between that 24 hour period? Is there still a good chance of BFP if I only DTD on my last high day and my first peak day?
