Does the ovulation digital holder read the lines on the sticks?

Hi, I bought the clear blue digital ovulation kits with 20 sticks and started testing. Got negatives for 4 days, high fertility for 3days and then peak fertility for 2 days. I am curious because when I looked at the sticks after removing it from the holder, I did not see 2 dark lines like a conventional ovulatory test kit would show. I want to find out how the holder detects these LH levels if not by reading the lines on the sticks. Would be happy to get a response. Was I really ovulating even with the faint line showing on the sticks?

The lines on these test are not to be read like traditional OPKs.

Hi Ini - Thanks for getting in touch and using our product! Jordan, you're right! The lines on the test sticks are designed to be read by the optics within the Holder. Furthermore, the Holder doesn't compare the intensity of the two lines like you would on an visual ovulation test. It reads them independently and converts the signal into easily readable results; flashing smiley face, static smiley face and an empty circle. It's also important to remember that our Advanced Digital Ovulation test detects two hormones and not just one like visual ovulation tests.

It looks like you found the results you were looking for! Our Digital Ovulation tests are over 99% accurate at detecting the LH surge prior to ovulation. Having intercourse on the day of Peak Fertility and the day after will maximise your chances of conception! You can now save your test sticks for your next cycle. Please also remember that Peak Fertility will now remain on the display for 48 hours.

Please also remember that our tests cannot tell you whether or not you have ovulated. They are designed to detected the LH surge which precedes ovulation.
