Early Ovulation?

I purchased the Clearblue Advance Ovulation Tests, started testing on Day 9 (approx 29 day cycle over the last 6 months), and it showed nothing until high fertility on day 11, and peak fertility on day 12. Then the tester got stuck on (smiley face would not reset), and I couldn't retest for day 13. According to my WomanLog app, I shouldn't have ovulated until a few days later. Was the test defective, or am I ovulating earlier than halfway through my cycles? We have been trying for 6 months (I am 37), and I am questioning if I need to seek help at this point.

Hi Tanya, Thanks for choosing Clearblue Advanced Digital Ovulation Tests, and I'm sorry for any confusion about peak fertility. Once peak fertility is identified, peak fertility is designed to remain on the screen for 48 hours.  Have intercourse at any time during these 48 hours to maximize your chances of conceiving.  It's not necessary to continue testing after peak fertility has been identified, and it's not possible to perform another test while a result remains on the screen.  Your digital holder and any remaining test sticks can be saved for use in a future cycle, if necessary.

This test is over 99% accurate at detecting the LH surge which occurs before ovulation.  Because you have some concerns about this, please give us a call at 1-800-321-3279 and mention reference #FB308 so we can learn more and talk through your questions. We're open Monday through Friday from 8:30-5:00 ET and would be happy to help.
