False positive for Peak Fertility?
I asked a question yesterday but didn't get a response...
I tested yesterday morning for the first time this cycle and got a solid smiley face that's still showing on the test stick display. I did not use my first urine after my longest sleep, but the second. I saw on the Q&A portion of the instructions that this may produce unexpected High Fertility results. I didn't test again today because the solid smiley face is still there. What are the chances that my test result is a false positive? Today I am having what I think is ovulatory cramping but no eggwhite and my temperature has not yet spiked, so I do believe that I am ovulating if I'm just going by instinct. Advice? I am actively trying to conceive and my husband and I had intercourse last night just to be safe. :) On that note, should we only have intercourse once a day during peak fertility, or is more better?

Clearblue Advanced Digital Ovulation Tests are more than 99% accurate at detecting the LH surge which occurs before ovulation. Some factors that can cause misleading results include a recent pregnancy (even if not carried to full term), if a woman is breastfeeding, impaired liver or kidney function, menopause, PCOS, and certain fertility drugs & treatments.
That said, Peak Fertility is designed to remain on the screen for 48 hours. Have intercourse at anytime during this time to maximize your chances of conceiving. You may wish to speak to your doctor for advice about how many times per day is right for you.
