Faulty equipment

I just bought and used the ovulation kit. Followed directions to a t. Only when on step three, never received a blinking test ready symbol then waited to see if maybe will still get circle or smiley and never got any symbol. When ejected the stick, there were lines on the stick. I have two questions: 1) Is there a way to get a new tester? 2) Is there a way to read the sticks since the reader won't work?
