Faulty results?

I took a plus sign pregnancy test this morning. After 3 minutes the test window had a dark horizontal line, and the rest of the window was a "hazy" blue - almost like the test color bled. The control window's control line also didn't reach the bottom of the window. The expiration date on the test is 11/15 so I'm not sure if this was just a miss test or what. Please help! Thanks
