Fertility monitor testing in a 42-44 day cycle

I will be starting my first cycle with the fertility monitor this week. Not the the advanced one. I have a long cycle, 42-44 days and I usually ovulate around cycle day 23-30. If the monitor is going to have me test from cycle day 6 that's a lot of test sticks and it's going to be very expensive. Is there any way around this ??

We'd be happy to help, Katie.  When you mentioned using the Fertility Monitor, are you speaking of this product:  http://www.clearblueeasy.com/clearblue-easy-fertility-monitor.php or this product:  http://www.clearblueeasy.com/clearblue-one-month-digital-ovulation-test.php?

Thanks for clarifying which product you have, Katie.  During your first cycle of use, the monitor will request your first test on day 6.  The monitor will get to know you, so in future cycles, the first test day will vary between day 6 & day 9.  Also during your first cycle of use, you may see more than 5 High Fertility days prior to Peak Fertility.  From cycle 2 on, the monitor will reduce this to between 1 & 5 High Fertility days for most women.

It's important to mention that the monitor is suitable for women whose natural cycle normally lasts between 21 & 42 days.  Unfortunately, you probably won't see Peak Fertility during your cycles which last longer than 42 days.  We'd be happy to talk through all your questions.  Just let us know which country you're in, and we'll give you the number!
