fertility monitor

I'm using the Clearblue Fertility Monitor and i have an average of a 36 day cycle. this is my frist month using it but it gave me a high today on day 10 :-0 i was not expecting that at all. i really thought that i would start getting highs next week. what is the average of high days? is this normal. and the test stick only has one line but yesterday's stick has 2 lines im sooooo confused please help..

Thanks for asking about the Clearblue Fertility Monitor, Caroline.  When the monitor detects a significant increase in estrogen, high fertility will be displayed (two bars on the left side of the display screen).  If an LH surge is detected, peak fertility will be displayed (3 bars) for 2 days.  For the greatest chance of conception, you should 'baby dance' during high fertility and during peak fertility.

The monitor stores information about your cycles and needs to get to know you.  Since this is your first month using it, it's possible that you may see more than 5 high fertility days this time around.  Starting from cycle two and beyond, most women will see between 1 and 5 high fertility days.  

The test sticks for the monitor are designed only to be read by the monitor, so you won't have to worry about comparing lines on test sticks.
