First time user - Changing cycle length, 2nd test, blinky smiley (?!?!)

Hello! I'm using the purple cb ovulation tests. Two months ago my cycle changed from 31 to 42 days. It was 31 days for 5 months, then has been 42 the last two cycles. Since I felt that my body was kind of unstable (jumping cycle lengths) I decided to start testing yesterday morning (Day 13) in case my cycle was shifting back to the 30/31 day time period. I got the O symbol to show it was just a regular day yesterday and got a blinking smiley today. Is it possible that I started testing too late in my cycle and this is a false-blinking smiley? Also, full disclosure, I woke up to make my hubby breakfast this morning and accidentally went to the bathroom without testing but stopped mid-way when I realized that I needed to test.....about 20 minutes later without any fluids I was able to use the restroom again which is when I tested. Sorry for the TMI, but can I still trust these results?
