FMU not used on first test, but used thereafter. Did I mess it up?
Hello! I've been using Clear Blue Digital Ovulation Tests for about 2 weeks, to find my 2 most fertile days. I have long cycles, normally 39 to 45 days, and I didn't want to miss the LH surge, so I began testing very early (last period began March 22nd). I have not seen a smiley face yet (I have used FMU for every test, and have not missed one morning). I am doing an IUI with donor sperm therefore I need to schedule the IUI for the day after the LH surge, so timing and accurate results are imperative for me. I decided to purchase the Clearblue Advanced Digital Ovulation Tests as well. I took my first test from this box on Monday (04-13-15) evening (I was impatient and should have waited till the next morning, to use FMU, but I didn't). It gave my a blank circle. The next morning I used FMU, and I got a flashing smiley. Then this morning, I got a smiley face (peak fertility). BUT my clearblue digital ovulation test AND a cheap ovulation stick from target that I bought are both saying NO LH surge. So, did I mess up the advanced test by doing the baseline (first) test on Monday night, instead of using FMU? I have a feeling it's showing me high and peak fertility results because the concentration of estrogen and LH are higher in the morning, and it's comparing it to that first test I took Monday night, when the concentrations were lower. What do you think? Please help. I don't think I'm ovulating, but would hate to miss it if the advanced test is indeed correct.
