Gone from low to peak, down to low and now back to high fertility???? Do these results make sense? Why went to low then now steady at high fertility again??

I am using the Advanced Digital Ovulation kit. I started on day 10 of my cycle. On days 10,11 and 12 I tested low fertility. On days 13 and 14, I tested Peak (skipped high fertility). I didn't feel as though I ovulated so I continued to test. I tested on day 15 and got a low fertility. Now on days 16-18 I've tested for high fertility. I always used first morning urine. My cycle is usually 31 days. Why would I go from low to peak, then low, then now high again??? What does this mean?

Hi Mary, it's not uncommon for the holder to move from low fertility straight to peak fertility.  Clearblue Advanced Digital Ovulation Tests track the changes in estrogen and LH throughout the menstrual cycle.  If the necessary changes in estrogen are detected, the holder will display high fertility, and if the necessary changes in LH are detected, the holder will display peak fertility.  If the hormone changes naturally occur close together, or if your estrogen level isn't high enough to be detected by the test, it's possible that high fertility may not be displayed and the holder will change from low fertility to peak fertility without displaying high fertility.

Clearblue Advance Digital Ovulation Tests are more than 99% accurate at detecting the LH surge which occurs before ovulation.   Keep in mind that peak fertility doesn't mean that ovulation has occurred, but that it's expected to occur within the next 24-36 hours, and it's not necessary to continue testing once you've seen peak fertility.  We'd like to learn more about your experience and talk through your other questions.  Please give us a call at 1-800-321-3279 and mention reference #FB268.  We're open weekdays from 8:30-5:00 ET and would be happy to help.  Thanks!

I just ran out of ovulation tests so I bought a new box. I started testing cycle day 9, got low fertility on day CD 9 and 10. Day 11 got Peak. Later that night used a regular POAS opk test, and it looked Low. Didn’t expect the Clearblue advanced digital to say Peak so fast, so next day on CD 12, I used a test on my old reader that I used the following month and it said Low. Why would I go from Low, to Peak, to back to Low the next day??

Hi Brandi.  The LH Surge typically lasts 1-2 days.  On this occasion it may have dropped below the sensitivity of the test on the second day, however you have still found your two most fertile days. regardless of the length of your Surge.

See your Doctor if you have more than one Peak in a cycle.
