High fertility after peak

Hello. I tested as at peak fertility 8 days ago. I’ve been tested after that just to see what would happen (I have a friend who had a surge later in her period). I’ve tested as high fertility (flashing smiley face) for the last 7 days. Why might that be? I’m supposed to get my period in a month.
