High Fertility back to Low Fertility with a New Pack

I am currently using the Clearblue Advanced Digital Ovulation Test 10ct. I started the test on CD14. I got the low fertility symbol (6) times and on CD20, I finally got the blinking happy face (high fertility) symbol. I continued to test and got (3) more blinking happy faces, total (4). I purchased the 10ct so I ran out by CD23. I purchased another 10ct and tested today (CD24) and got a low fertility symbol. I really thought I was moving in the right direction with the peak fertility symbol. What happened? Do you know why I got the low fertility symbol with a new pack?

If you used a new tester with the new test stick, it uses the first test to establish your baseline levels, and will automatically give an empty circle "low" result. If you run out of tests in the middle of a cycle and need to buy more, you should purchase a new pack and use the new test sticks with the old tester until the cycle is finished.

Hi Stephanie, MikaylaD shared the correct information.  It's important to use the same digital holder for an entire cycle of testing.  If you switch holders in the midst of your cycle, you may receive unexpected results.  Please let us know if you have other questions.  Thanks!

I've had (10) high fertility symbols and now on CD29. Do i stop testing and wait for my period to start? Or do i keep testing until I get peak fertility? Could I be pregnant?

Thanks for writing back about Clearblue Advanced Digital Ovulation Tests.  If you started testing on the correct day for your cycle length and saw more than 9 High Fertility days, it's unlikely that you'll see Peak Fertility, and you may wish to stop testing this cycle.  Occasionally some women have an LH surge that is too low for the test to detect, and some women don't ovulate every cycle.

Feel free to call us at 1-800-321-3279 and mention reference #FB569 if you'd like to talk through questions.  We're open Monday through Friday from 8:30am-5:00pm ET and would be happy to help.
