Holder only worked one month out of the two its supposed to work for!

I purchased the Clearblue advanced digital ovulation test (20 tests), used it for four days the first month, and stopped when I reached peak fertility. But when I tried to test again the following month, I don't get any message at all....no timer...just a blank screen. The tester just won't work. I paid a lot of money for this test kit and it only worked for FOUR DAYS! I didn't do anything to the tester. It saw on a shelf in between testing. Is there some way to read the lines on the tests without the holder? Or get a new holder? I can't believe I have to deal with this while I'm trying to conceive and every day matters! Please help!
