Invalid tests

I'm newly pregnant and bought the weeks estimator tests to try to figure out where I might be in my early pregnancy. Both tests in the box I bought were invalid. They both displayed not pregnant, but when I opened up the test, one strip was clearly positive and the other test had no control line. This happened with both tests! Had I not thought to open it up and check it would have caused a lot of anxiety. These are far too expensive for them to fail! What is being done to prevent this from happening to more women? And how can I be reimbursed?

Congratulations on your pregnancy Martina, and I'm very sorry to hear your test results with Weeks Estimator was 'Not Pregnant.'  I'm not certain what time of day you tested, but this test is designed to be used with your first urine of the day.  Testing at another time of day can cause unexpected results.

This happened to me too, but with the clear blue plus. I'm so glad that you suggested to open the test! When I did, it appeared that that vertical line that is supposed to show in the result window was a few centimeters over so that it wasn't showing in the window. when i opened it there was a very dark vertical line.

Careful calling customer service. The person I spoke with was extremely rude to me about my situation and accused me of lying. Absolute worst customer service call I have ever made.
