Is it okay to use a new test kit in the middle of high fertility?

I have been using Clearblue for a few cycles now. In this cycle, the kit detected 2 days of high fertility and then i ran out of sticks. I bought a new one (including new reader) and the new reader started showing low for the next 3 days. Is this because i started using a new reader mid-high-cycle?
Is the new reader now useless?

(To validate this theory I used the new test sticks with my old reader, and it went back to showing High and then Peak too. I just don't know if the new reader can be used anymore.)

I had a similar issue so here’s hoping someone responds. I had been testing with one kit - had nine days of low, then 3 days of high. I bought another kit but kept using the same reader. This morning, I got a solid error code on my reader and had to switch. It now read as low. So 9 low, 3 high, now low with no peak. I know in theory I could have missed the LH surge, but it was less than 24 hours since last test.

Hi, this is because the new readers need at least 2 tests to get used to your levels before they can become accurate. I would keep using the old digital stick for the remainder of your current cycle, then only move on to the new stick in your next cycle (and maybe start testing a few days earlier than you usually would to give it a chance to get used to you xx
