Macrobid and Ovulation results

Question

Can taking a medication such as Macrobid cause you to have a positive ovulation test? (I have had three smiley faces in a row now Cycle day 10, 11, and 12) I took Clomid for 5 days and finished it on CD7 and am using the test with the purple cap.

The types of medications that can affect your test results are fertility drugs containing LH or hCG, or if you are taking antibiotics containing tetracyclines.  Clomid may give misleading High Fertility results with Clearblue Advanced Digital Ovulation Tests, but Peak Fertility results should be unaffected.  Hope this helps!
