Only 7 tests in a 10 pack

Hi, my wife bought a box of Clearblue Ovulation tests, box says 10 tests. When she opened the pack, there were only 7 inside.

Oh no, we hate to hear this, Donovan. We have quality checks on our manufacturing lines to make sure that each box receives the number of test sticks, so this is unusual.  So we can point you in the right direction for help, in which country are you located?

Hi Karen

Im from South Africa, we purchased the box from quite a well known chain store.

My wife said the boxes normally only have 7, so was surprised to find a 10 pack, so we purchased it, only to find out that it infact only had 7 inside.

Im sure it was just a mistake, these kinds of things do happen :)

I look forward to hearing from you.
Regards

Hi Karen, I mailed them, and i must say, I am not impressed with the response I received. Just stating that it is a packaging error and the number is infact 7, and they are not doing anything about it as the incidence or complaint is low, is absolutely appalling. I have been in the marketing and advertising sector for over 10 years now, and currently head up a studio for one of the biggest corporate companies in the country, If this were to happen with us, we would be scurrying to rectify the issue. As a family planning company, the consumer needs to have faith in the product they are using, trust, and transparency is the key here. I cannot believe that your marketing people have not even so much as though to put a shelf talker out to the effected shops with the product informing the consumer of the issue. Not even a disclaimer on the home page of the local website informing the consumer.

Sorry I wanted to add, please do not take my comment personally, this is just my views on the way they represent themselves in South Africa. The product is a great one, the ONLY one my wife uses, and the only one she will continue to use, however, if a mistake is made, it is the responsibility of the company to atleast put it out there that there is a mistake, and it is being rectified. We are ALL human, and all make mistakes.

Hi Karen, you are completely missing my point. unless this is an automated response (Seems very much like it) as not once did I mention anything about being dissatisfied with the product. My issue is with the deception that no-body seems to care about here. I pointed out that the product is great, and this is undeniable, thus, why we buy the product on a monthly basis (around 8 months religiously). I just cannot believe that a company is not willing to inform the consumer of an issue that results in false advertising, which is a BIG no no.
