OPK screw up?

I know I didn't do this right this month. Last Wednesday I got a negative in the morning and I tested again at night and got peak. I later re-read the directions and learned I'm only supposed to test once a day.
Because I realized I screwed up, on Saturday I tested again - got negative. But Sunday and today (Monday) I got high fertility.

My question is this: could that peak be accurate?
If yes, why do I have high fertility today and Sunday?

Hi Caitlin.  You can rely on your Peak Fertility results.  First morning urine is more important for the High Fertility results.  Stop testing after peak as it's normal for there to be a  second estrogen rise after ovulation that will show as more High fertility days but there are not fertile days so you're using your tests unnecessarily.

We'd be happy to chat if you'd like to talk through your questions.  Feel free to call us at 1-800-321-3279 and mention reference 1900474A.  We're open weekdays from 8:30-5:00 ET.

I began testing this month with the advanced test. I did my first test in PM after 4 hour hold, low result, next two mornings flashing high result. This morning test read peak solid smiley. Can I rely on these results or did I mess it up but doing the first test in evening and throwing off results? Thank you!

Hi Jennifer.  If you are not using first morning urine you may get misleading High Fertility results but you can rely on Peak Fertility results.  We recommend switching to the normal digital ovulation test (the pink one) as that can be used at any time of day as per your preference.
