Ovulation test showing peak then high day

I've been using the same ovulation test (purple cap) for 3 cycles now and bought a second one recently. During this cycle, on the old test, I got empty circle on the correct days, then 1 high fertility day and then the day after that was showing peak fertility. 

I usually have at least 2 high fertility days, so I used the newer test on the day after the first one showed peak fertility, and this new test stick is showing high fertility again. I was expecting to see another solid smiley face to confirm a 2 day peak fertility window but now confused and don't know whether to trust the results of either test.
