Peak fertility on day

I did a clear blue ovulation test for the first time today and it came up with a solid smiley face showing peak fertility but I'm only on day 8 of my cycle. This was done with first urine of the day. I then tested again with second urine of the day using a different brand and it showed no LH surge. Is it possible that the first test was wrong or am I ovulating on day 8?
