Positive ovulation test for 10 days?

I use the advanced digital ovulation test, on days 11,12,13 of my cycle I got negative (no smiley face) on day 14 I got the high (blinking face) I am now on my 10th day in a row of a blinking face. Is this common? Any idea why this is?

Thanks for contacting us, Renea.  Clearblue Advanced Digital Ovulation Tests track the changes in 2 key fertility hormones:  estrogen & LH.  If the necessary changes in estrogen are detected, High Fertility will be displayed.  Once this happens, your result will continue to be High Fertility until an LH surge is detected.  If an LH surge is detected, Peak Fertility will be displayed continuously on the screen for 48 hours.

Your High Fertility results reflect your unique hormone changes, and it's normal for some women to see more than 2 High Fertility days in all or some of their cycles.  However, if you started testing on the correct day for your cycle length & see more than 9 High Fertility days, it's unlikely that you'll see Peak Fertility this cycle.  Occasionally some women have an LH surge that is too low for the test to detect, or they don't ovulate during a cycle.

Feel free to give us a call if you'd like to talk through questions.  Our number is 1-800-321-3279 and we're open Monday through Friday from 8:30am-5:00pm ET.  When calling, please mention reference #FB901.  We wish you all the best!
