Result from yesterday still appear the next day on digital test

I'm using the Clearblue Advanced Digital Ovulation Kit the 20 tests 2 months supply. Yesterday I got a smiley face (positive). I discarded the strip. And today I was about to use it again but the digital stick still has the smiley face (positive) from yesterday. I'm wondering if the kit I bought is defective?

Thanks for sharing your results with Clearblue Advanced Digital Ovulation Tests, Khanh.  Peak Fertility, which is indicated by a solid smiley, is designed to remain on the screen for 48 hours as a reminder that this is your most fertile time.  Once you see Peak Fertility, have intercourse at any time within the next 48 hours to maximize your chances of conceiving.  It's not necessary to continue testing after you've seen Peak Fertility, and it's not possible to perform another test while a result is still on the screen.  

After 48 hours, the screen will clear and your digital holder & any remaining test sticks can be saved for use in a future cycle.  We hope this information is helpful!

I had this same question. If we don't keep testing once we've seen the smiley face, how do we ever see the ovulation face to know exactly when we've ovulated?

Hi Kelly.  You should keep testing after the flashing smiley face (High Fertility) but once you get the solid smiley face (Peak Fertility) you must stop testing as you have found the information you are looking for.

Peak Ferility is designed to remain on the screen for 48 hours as a reminder that this is your most fertile time.  Once you see Peak Fertility, have intercourse at any time within the next 48 hours to maximize your chances of conceiving.  It's not necessary to continue testing after you've seen Peak Fertility, and it's not possible to perform another test while a result is still on the screen.
