Significance of Continued LH Surge

I am very regular and have tested as high fertility for 6 days now. This hasn't happened in the months I have been using the monitor. I understand that it is possible that I am having an unusual cycle this month despite my regularity. I also understand that it is possible that I may not ovulate this month or my have two eggs. My question is if an LH surge for so many days is an anyway an indicator or pregnancy? Or does LH decrease as it would prior to menstruation? I know that HCG is the key hormone to track for pregnancy but wonder if LH has any other significance than for tracking ovulation.
