Smiley face to blank within 24 hours

Hello recently my girlfriend took a clear blue digital ovulation test the results showed a static smiley face, today we took another one to see if it would still be there but to our surprise it was completely gone and went from static smiley face to blank circle I thought the static smiley face stays for two days or 48 hours. Is this normal or could something be wrong
