Hi Catherine!  I'm guessing you're using Clearblue Advanced Digital Ovulation Tests.  With this product, Peak Fertility is designed to remain on the screen for 48 hours as a reminder that this is your most fertile time.  Once you see Peak Fertility, stop testing and have intercourse at any time within the next 48 hours.  It's not necessary to continue testing after this, and it's not possible to perform another test while a result is still on the screen.  The smiley will clear after 2 days, and your test holder and any remaining test sticks can be saved for use in a future cycle.  Hope this helps!
