Test error, did I miss the surge or is it normal to have 8 days of high levels? What will the test show if you miss the peak day?

I have been using the purple digital ovulation kit, I have had 6 days in a row of "high" levels, on day 7, there was a test error and I was unable to test again until the next morning, which also showed "high"......did I miss the LH surge, or is this normal? What test result would occur if you test after the LH surge day?

Thanks for getting in touch with us, Aimee.  Clearblue Advanced Digital Ovulation Tests are different than other ovulation tests because they check for 2 key fertility hormones: estrogen & LH.  If the necessary changes in estrogen are detected, the test will show High Fertility, and if an LH surge is detected, Peak Fertility will be displayed constantly on the display for 48 hours.

The number of High Fertility days displayed is personal to you & may be more or less than 2.  It's normal for some women to see more than 2 High Fertility days in all or some of their cycles.  Please keep in mind that if an LH surge isn't detected, your test holder will continue to display High Fertility until tests are missed for three consecutive days.

Once you've seen Peak Fertility, stop testing & have intercourse at anytime within the next 48 hours to maximize your changes of conceiving.  It's not necessary to continue testing once you've seen Peak Fertility, and it's not possible to perform another test while a result remains on the display.

Since you saw an error symbol, please call us at 1-800-321-3279 so we can learn more and answer any additional questions you may have.  We're here M-F from 8:30am-5:00pm ET and when calling, please mention reference #FB788.  Thanks!
